Q : I’m linked to an aibo Linkable App but aibo won’t move in the way that’s described in the app’s description.

A : If aibo is in any of the following conditions, you may not be able to use the Linkable App properly.
・aibo is not set up
・aibo’s system software is not updated to the latest version
・aibo is in the hospital
・aibo which is not connected to the network
On your Linkable Apps page, check to see that your aibo is available for use.
Check each Linkable App to see whether you need to make changes to the app settings.
・When speaking to aibo through the Linkable App, it may take some time for aibo to recognize your voice after linking. Language recognition.
・Depending on the material and condition of your flooring, aibo may not be able to walk according to your instructions.

If your aibo is able to use the Linkable App, the aibo system software is updated to the latest version and it is still not moving properly, the issue may be with the app itself. Please contact the app’s developer, which can be found on the app’s page.

Q : I’ve opened the Linkable App and I’m trying to link my account, but it fails.

A : There is a limit to how many apps you can link. An error occurs when you try to link more apps than the limit. Open the Linkable Apps page and check how many apps you have linked.
If you cannot link properly, the issue may be with the app itself. Please contact the app’s developer, which can be found on the app’s details page.

Q : What will happen if I link an app that has not received approval to be listed?

A : Linkable Apps that have not been approved to be listed are still under development. The specifications may change or aibo’s movements may be erratic. Check whether you can trust the developer and also the status of the app’s development. If you decide to use the app, please do so at your discretion.

Q : The Linkable App disconnected on its own.

A : The app in question may have been removed from the list by the developer or upon Sony’s request. Another possibility is that the app itself was deleted.

Q : aibo started to behave oddly while using a Linkable App. Who can I contact?

A : First, check to see which Linkable App is making aibo behave oddly.
Go to your Linkable Apps page. You have the option to enable or disable apps there.
If you can find which Linkable App is causing the problem, contact the app’s developer.
If the problem persists even after disabling all the Linkable Apps, contact Support.

Q : aibo started to behave oddly while using a Linkable App developed by the aibo development team. Who can I contact?

A : On your Linkable Apps page, enable only the app developed by the aibo development team and then try again.
If the problem persists, contact Support with the following information:
・Name of the Linkable App
・Details of how aibo is behaving oddly and when it happens

Q : What happens if I link to multiple apps that use the same command to move aibo?

A : If you have multiple apps that use the same command to move aibo, aibo can only do one of them, so the movements of the remaining apps may not work properly.

If the command is not one that moves aibo (e.g.: link to another app), it will not be an issue.

Q : aibo won’t stop doing the motions of the Linkable App.

A : Check how to use each Linkable App. If aibo still won’t stop, press and hold down the power button for two seconds to turn aibo off. Then turn aibo back on again.

Q : Will using the Linkable Apps affect aibo’s personality?

A : Using the Linkable Apps will not directly affect aibo’s personality. Of course, aibo will be happy if you play a lot, so we encourage you to actively play with your aibo.

Q : My aibo app is not available when the Linkable App is running.

A : Depending on the Linkable App, aibo may be changed to "aibo waits for a command" state.

When aibo is in "waiting for a command" state, it doesn't move around, it wags its tail or changes expressions, but doesn't move without the requests from the Linkable App.
Also, some functions such as My aibo app settings are not be available.

When the Linkable App finished, aibo returns from the "waiting for a command" state, and after a while, you will be able to use My aibo app.

If you would like to return aibo from the "waiting for a command" state immediately, disable the Linkable App or disconnect the link, then press the power button on aibo for 2 seconds to turn it off, and press the button again to restart aibo.
aibo starts moving on its own.

Q : When using the Linkable App, aibo moves during "Settle down aibo" state.

A : aibo may accept a request from the Linkable App even if it is in "Settle down aibo" state.

When using "Settle down aibo", it is recommended to disable all the Linkable Apps from the list of your linked apps.

Q : Aren’t there Linkable Apps for other games like hide and seek?

A : Anyone can develop an aibo Linkable App, so try your hand at developing an app on your own.
