You can now teach aibo specific boundaries, setting places that you want aibo to avoid.

You can now teach aibo specific boundaries, setting places that you want aibo to avoid. Under map in the My aibo app, add a "chili pepper," aibo's least favorite smell, to the location/s that you want aibo to avoid. In the future, aibo will learn boundaries and tend to stay away from these locations.
*Note: This does not guarantee that aibo will always stay away from the specified places. It is best to avoid using aibo where it is not safe, such as on elevated surfaces and near heaters, and around fragile objects.

Configure aibo’s territory
- You can configure aibo’s territory on My aibo’s map.
- By placing “chili peppers,” which have a smell that aibo dislikes, on My aibo’s map, you can keep aibo away from those places.Chili peppers are not visible.
- Depending on aibo’s mood and state, it may occasionally come close to chili peppers by mistake. Make sure you do not let aibo walk where it is not safe. Even if aibo comes close to chili peppers by mistake, it will try to move away on its own.
- There are two types of chili peppers that you can place on the map: “chili peppers” and “very hot chili peppers.”“Very hot chili peppers” will keep aibo away over a wider range.
- “Chili peppers” and “very hot chili peppers” can be placed at a total of 10 spots combined.
- Note that placing chili peppers will not make aibo unhappy or impede its growth.
About the map
- If your map is not displayed, make sure to check it after letting aibo walk around.
- The aibo app can save the current orientation of your map so that each time you access it, the same view will appear.
- The map may be updated as aibo walks around each day. Even if the map is updated, chili peppers that you have placed will not be lost (note some may slightly shift). Check the map on My aibo from time to time and make sure the chili peppers are where they are supposed to be.
Notes on use
This does not guarantee that aibo will always stay away from the specified places. It is best to avoid using aibo where it is not safe, such as on elevated surfaces and near heaters, and around fragile objects.
- Place the chili peppers once a map of aibo’s living environment has been created.
- Do not place chili peppers near the charging station. Doing so will prevent aibo from returning to the charging station.
- This function may not work properly when the usage environment changes, such as when you move to a new house or rearrange furniture. In that case, remove all the chili peppers and create a new map.
- You need an aibo and an aibo AI Cloud Plan subscription to use aibo Territory.
- aibo Territory cannot be used with the web browser version of My aibo. Enjoy it on the My aibo smartphone app.
- To use aibo Territory, you need to update the aibo system software to version 3.50 or higher and the My aibo app to version 3.5.0 or higher.
